Sowelu

Young R&B Singer from Tokyo (born November 6, 1982) with an irish grandfather. Her real name is Aki Harada. The name »Sowelu« (which in ancient irish language means sun) was give to her by her grandfather.
Sowelu made her debut with the song »Across my heart« on the compilation »Smooth« in January 2002. She participated in the project »Voices of Korea/Japan« (together with the japanese R&B duo Chemistry and south korean artists Brown Eyes and Lena Park) which performed the official song of World Cup 2002 in Japan and South Korea, »Let's get together now«, during the opening ceremony of the World Cup. Her first single »Beautiful Dreamer« was released in April of 2003, her first album »Geofu« which reached the top five of the japanese album charts was released in June 2003.
